I started looking for a new truck in November 05 and decided to buy a Chevy 2500HD with the LBZ Duramax Diesel and 6 speed Allison Automatic. The engine is rated at 360hp and 650 Foot pounds of Torque! I wanted an extended cab and I couldn't find one within 200 miles of my location so I decided to place an order for one and wait what seemed like a year!
December 8th, 2005 I placed an order for my truck through Woodworth Chevrolet in Andover, Ma. After Christmas I was given a TPW (Target Production Week) of 1/23/06. I took Delivery of the Truck on 2/7/06.
I was fortunate enough to find a forum dedicated to these trucks and one of the members offered me a GM Supplier Discount Certificate (GMSD). This allowed me to purchase the truck under invoice without having to haggle with the dealer! Gotta love the internet!
